This Reindeer Chow recipe is addicting! It’s easy to make large batches, so you can make some for guests, yourself and even one for Santa!

This is also a great recipe to get the kids involved with making. You can “play” with the ingredients and come up with your own special version of reindeer chow. Chex Mix shares some of their versions of this recipe here.

Directions:

  • 7 Cups Chex cereal- Mix, or just use your favorite. I am impartial to 4 cups Corn Chex, with a cup of wheat and 2 Cups rice.
  • 1 Cup Chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 3 cups red and green M&Ms

Put chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl and melt in the microwave in 30 second ingrements. Continue until completely melted.

Stir in Vanilla.

Slowly and gently fold in your Chex until covered.

Put powdered sugar in a ziplock bag (Freezer size works best). Transfer portions of cereal mix into bag and seal. Shake until covered. Transfer to a clean airtight container. Repeat until the whole mixture is done.

Fold in M&Ms and store in an airtight container.

Other ingredients you could add include Pretzels, Reeses Pieces and Nutella. Chex Mix shares some of their versions of this recipe here.

  3. Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
