South southwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds. Low around 47. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Middle Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Some strong to isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible this
afternoon and evening. Best chance for severe thunderstorms
will be around and west of I-65. Main threat will be strong to
damaging winds. However, brief heavy downpours resulting in localized
flooding, large hail, and isolated tornado development can not
be ruled out.

THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph expected. Gusts upwards of
  35 to 40 mph possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Middle Tennessee.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
  Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
  result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
