This morning, FLASH FLOOD WATCHES were placed in effect for Middle Tennessee. These areas include ROBERTSON, SUMNER, WILSON, RUTHERFORD, MAURY, WILLIAMSON, DICKSON, DAVIDSON, and CHEATHAM counties.
As of right now, a FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for SOUTHEASTERN DICKSON, NORTHWESTERN MAURY, and NORTHWESTERN WILLIAMSON.
The rain showers that we have had over the past 24 hours have brought heavy rain to the region, with the National Weather Service recording up to 3.5 inches.
During your morning and afternoon commute, if you see high rising waters, do not attempt to drive through them. There is a HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK included in today’s forecast as the rain will continue and storms could bring an additional 2 inches.
Stay weather aware!
